Amazing Books on Travel
Oct 21st, 2009 by admin

The best travel books, much like the best travel movies don’t rely on simple descriptions of places and things. You wont see trite statements like, “You’ll never believe the Taj Mahal. It just looks so freaking rad in real life.” No, an exceptional travel book let’s the locale and culture of a destination unfurl slowly, as part of a broader narrative. It allows you to make an emotional connection with the land where the story takes place. Instead of trying to force understanding down your throat you have the opportunity to learn to love the setting right along side the main character who will, almost by definition, be just as culturally ignorant as your are in the first chapter, thereby allowing the two of you to grow together. This is the key to greatness. Teaching a reader to love a culture based on it’s actions will leave a MUCH more lasting impact than showing them pretty pictures and describing how “cool” you trip was EVER will. Only then can the reader actually appreciate a culture they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience for themselves.

Baby Feeding Schedule For Different Stages In Life
Oct 12th, 2009 by admin

Babies need different types of food for the different stages in their first year. It’s good to have a basic baby feeding schedule so you know when it may be time to start introducing new foods.

For newborns it’s pretty easy, babies age zero to four months should eat breast milk or formula and this should be their main food soure for the first six months. From four to six months you may be able to start introducing soft cereals like dry rice cereal mixed with breast milk or formula.

At eight months you may want to start feeding mashed fruits and vegetables along with the cereal and mother’s milk or formula. By ten months you should be able to start feeding finger foods like cooked pasta, teething crackers and proteins like mashed beans. Of course every child is a little different so watch how they react to the new foods to see if they are handling them alright and adjust accordingly.

What Is Online Homeschooling?
Sep 8th, 2009 by admin

Homeschooling has been around in one form or another since people started teaching their young. The movement in American has been around since the late 60’s and early 70’s. It has changed faces and even methods of the years. Now there is online homeschooling, but what is it?

Homeschooling is simply the education of schooling or educating students at home. It has included several learning philosophies, tons of different curriculum, and even a number of methods and modes.

Now you can get online homeschooling from a huge number schools, academy’s, and sites. This schooling is done through the computer. Some have books that go with it and you work through the curriculum that way. Some are mostly self taught and paced options. Others have real teachers available for talking and helping the students out as well as grading papers and tests.

Online homeschooling is just one more option that parents have today. Some of the materials tend to be very expensive. Others aren’t so bad. You need to figure out what you want, how you want it taught, and how much you are willing to pay for it.

I think this is a pretty interesting question to ponder.  I mean, at Wealthy Affiliate, we try to understand the customer’s mind so that we can make affiliate sales.  But if you think about it, we’re all the customer!  And most of us signed up for out Wealthy Affiliate membership through someone else’s link.  So try to remember what went through your mind before you pulled out your credit card and became and honorary Wealthy Affiliate member.  And that information could really help you make some more sales.

LPN Programs And The Mix Of Work
Aug 1st, 2009 by admin

One of the most important aspects to examine when you are trying to decide between different LPN programs is the amount of clinical experience that particular LPN program offers.  Clinical experience is time spent doing practical nursing activities in a real life environment, such as a nursing home or hospital ward.  Non-clinical experience is time spent in the classroom or doing lab work.

The reason for the emphasis on clinical work when it comes to selecting your LPN program is that this aspect of the training most closely matches the sort of activities you will encounter once you have qualified and have earned that first LPN job.  Don’t be fooled.  If the LPN program does not offer a good level of clinical experience as an integral part of the course then you should be wary of enrolling upon it.

Work from home medical transcription
Jul 22nd, 2009 by admin

Work from home medical transcription is a wonderful opportunity for anyone that absolutely needs to be home for work.  Single moms, student or retired empty nesters make very good candidates for this line or work because of their need or availability to be home.

The single mom doesn’t have to worry about how much she will have to spend at daycare since she will be working in the comfort of her own home.  The student, while attempting to pass all their exams would be able to earn just a little bit more for late night pizza.  Finally the retired empty nester, who might be short of cash for prescriptions (we all know those are going up), will find this to be very helpful and supplemental for income.
