As a working parent I spend a lot of time travelling for my job but I am lucky in that I can bring my young son with me on most of my trips. I often have to stay overnight and one problem that I faced was sleeping arrangments for my son. Most hotels do offer a portable baby crib if they know in advance that you are travelling with a young child, but I found after the first few overnight trips that although there was nothing wrong with the cribs provided, my son found it hard to settle and never slept well. Thats when I decided to invest in a portable baby crib and it has made a huge difference to both me and my son. He now sleeps much better when we are away as his own crib is familiar to him, I realised that for a baby or young child, sleeping in a strange crib was a much harder task than for an adult. I would highly recommend that anyone who travels regularly with their child to purchase a portable crib, it has given my child a sense of security and familiarity when we are away from home.
